So, it appears that Garg has grown up to be a bit of a dullard. Of course now that I think about it, so did Oaf. 😢

So, in another illogical scenario, somehow Little Oop now has his own room?? He's come a long ways from being a papier mache doll that Penelope made. I guess that mind control device she created allows her complete control of the household. And to make people completely overlook Little Oop's furry shorts "costume". It appears that Little Oop is settling right in. His mom must be missing him by now so even if he gets re-inserted to his cave home era 1 second after he originally left, his mom would still have gone through the trauma of wondering if he had been eaten by a dinosaur in real time back then.

A milestone was reached as there are now 2,500 strips in the archive, spread over 13 years from Hamlin’s 40-year tenure on the strip. That pushes the Archive to 61.44% of the strips produced during those 13 years.

A highly improbable scene here. Ooola spouts off a copious amount of bafflegab and her poor friend can only counter by explaining how she moved a couple of rocks and a log. Also, Ooola will need to try to remember just what point of the timestream that Doc has jettisoned her into. So, just how long was the interval since her friend last saw Ooola, 1 day or 1 year?

So finally Penny's Mom realizes he's real and not just a figment of her imagination? Of course now we know that Penny is the greatest inventor of all time, able to pull just the invention needed out of nowhere, like a magician. And she is obviously well in control of her Mom, and likely also her Dad and brother. Under a talented writer, this could go somewhere...... So we're stuck. 😒

So, all of a sudden, Oaf somehow knows what a catchphrase is? 🙄 Only Oaf would think whatever that silly phrase is was in any way cool (or should I say "kewl"?) Even Eena (or whatever her name is, it's not really that important) knows it's idiotic. At least Ooola still has enough common sense to do an eye roll at such silliness. It's just sad what has happened to a once great strip. John Glynn must be so proud of how he has gutted and destroyed the spirit of Alley Oop and Hamlin to create such an execrable piffle. 🤢👎

Ok, so now it's devolving into a sitcom. I can't complain however that the plot is really moving slowly, since there is no plot. 😒 More like a plod. 🙄 And still no tacos. It is however one of the first times a character has mentioned Oop's attire, or lack thereof. I guess it's much like when Little Oop was walking around the school in just his shorts, no shoes or shirt. No shoes, no shirt, no problem. 😊

Oh boy! A sight gag. 🙄 So where did Oaf get the giant pickle? Nothing like shoehorning in a silly gag-a-day to stall the story while Joey tries to figure out if there even is a story somewhere in this dreck (not that she would even recognize a good story). Ollie and Eena(or whatever her name is) are patiently waiting to hear why the trio hasn't procured the tacos ordered in whatever the other dimension is but looks like they may have to settle for a portion of the ridiculously huge pickle.

Doc's getting a bit carried away taunting Ollie. He finally (apparently) realizes that Ollie may be able to hack his way into what ever dimension/universe/?? that they are in now and demand they bring tacos with them like they promised when they bugged out, and haul them back into wherever the court is. Not sure any of us really care at this point. 😢 It's unlikely that wherever they end up will have any hint of drama or some kind of story however. We can only hope that it will suck less than what has been proffered so far. 🤞

Hooboy, just gets dumber and dumber. So Oaf got in trouble as a teenager? In Moo? So apparently we can surmise that the Moovian legal system is the same universally, no matter what time era or universe we're in? And Doc may have a bull, but it ain't mechanical and he's full of it. 🙄 One other thing, Doc appears to be growing Moovian forearms. Hopefully his mental faculties don't follow a similar downward transformation. Wouldn't the legal system of whatever dimension, etc, they had been in now travel to where they are and bring them back to trial? And what about the tacos? Maybe Doc should have left the ear cleaner alone. 🙂

Now that Doc has figured out how to use the ear cleaner, it appears that Ooola at least is in favor of it as she has had the hots for Ollie (not hard to understand since her old beau Oaf is brain dead in comparison). Perhaps Ooola will transport to whatever where ever that Ollie is and live happily ever after? 🙄

I did want to comment on Saturday's strip. Actually a bit funny with Doc trying to use the ear cleaner and accessing different times and dimensions. Lemon did a decent job on the different creatures or people from the past. Based strictly on the Oaf strips Joey has written this may be a cut above the usual dross. Your opinion may vary of course. 🤔

As usual, not a whole lot going on. At this point, even Penelope has about had it with Little Oop. Here's a suggestion, send Little Oop back to Moo and be done with it. The only problem with that is that Joey likely would be hard pressed to come up with story lines based strictly back in Moo. The ones so far have leaned on 20th century things, posters on cave walls, schools, etc. Strongly influenced by The Flintstones. Maybe we'll even see little Oop smoking Winston's for a commercial out behind whatever passes for a barn in Moo. He can't go off fighting some other group like the adult Oop could, he's pretty restricted to just hanging around in Moo. How exciting! Not. 😒

There are now 2,492 strips spread over 13 years from Hamlin’s 40-year tenure on the strip. That pushes the Archive to 61.24% of the strips produced during those 13 years. Earlier this week I helped Mark out by finding and posting the May 1, 1942 strip. The hard part was finding a newspaper that ran the strip. After that, it was easy to clip and post the strip. I don't understand why GO Comics doesn't hire someone at minimum wage and have them go day-by-day through a newspaper file – a lot of old newspapers online- and build the archive. I'm going to guess that a person could probably go through a month (25-27 dailies) ...

Well, now it looks like we have another out of left field comment from Oaf. Just some random "joke", with a sheepish looking Oaf. As if Oaf even knows what uranium is. And Ooola once again is the brains of the outfit, so that's at least one big good point in today's "episode". On to tomorrow. Any way we can fast forward this mess? 😢

Well, more uneventful nonsense. So they're going to call in that doppelganger Ollie Arp? That's one of the sillier things Joey has introduced. However, Ooola seems to be overjoyed. Why? Likely because even she has had about enough of a brain dead Oaf and figures maybe Ollie will be a change of pace to occupy her time while Oaf eats his way through every thing he finds that's not tied down and will fit in his mouth. Perhaps we'll be treated to a cat fight between Ooola and whatever that other silly partner of Ollie's was (forget her name and really couldn't care less). If I recall, wasn't that other idiot one of the time travel cops that ticketed them for too much time travel or some other off the wall offense that Joey dreamed up? I was hoping we'd never see them again, but it looks like Joey's bound and determined to force them on to us again. I guess she figures it's like cod liver oil that is nasty but is supposedly good for us? Maybe thi...

Man oh man, the nonsensical nonsense continues unabated. Ooola at least on this day appears to be the only one with any sense at all. Both Oaf and Doc have bought into the Copious vision lock, stock and barrel. Oaf apparently wants to go to the puppy universe so bad, likely because he's hungry, and being a caveman, likely to want to eat any animal he comes across, along with almost any type of food. He's definitely about the mental level of a 4 year old. Way to go, Joey, demeaning the legacy of Oop to fit your idiotic vision of a new Oop. 🤢👎
