Alley Oop comic books

I posted this link a long time ago back when it was okay to post on the "Alley Oop" board. On this site, several issues of the AO comic book have been scanned and posted. It starts with the December 1947 issue which reprints the newspaper comic strip but adding color. It's possible that in order to make it flow that some strips have been omitted but you can read several months of the strip, taking you past where Mark's links have so far gone.  https://humoropedia.com/alley-oop-comics/

No place for Alley Oop classics and original fans?

Image
It makes one wonder... After the Alley Oop board, now that the Trucutu boards have vanished too, the true Alley Oop fans are left with no place to express themselves or to share the classics. Okay, they can express themselves here, but where does one go for the Alley Oop classics ? It makes one wonder that why does the current regime despise the long time Alley Oop fans so much. Many moons have passed, but yet many of the classics haven't been updated for Alley Oop, with large gaps that exist today between the classics on the Go Comics site. It makes one wonder that were the current creators jealous that fans were more interested in the classics than with their new nonsensical version? It makes one wonder that is that why they silenced both the boards where the fans shared the classics? It makes one wonder that why are people deprived of the classics. With book readers and newspapers fading away, and the digital medium taking over the preferred medium of comics readers an...

An Alley Oop animated cartoon from the 1980's

Image
Hi, Moovians. For today's classics corner , I bring to you an Alley Oop animated cartoon from the late 1980's that I found on YouTube. It's a Fabulous Funnies presents : Alley Oop in "That's Life" . This toon is fully set in the prehistoric Moo with Alley Oop , Ooola, King Guz, Foozy, Dinny, and other Moovians . Enjoy! Now, my question to veteran Moovians, did these cartoons stick to Hamlin's canons, or were they somewhat retconned? Share you knowledge on them!

On today's Alley Oop - 06 April 2020, and a video about an Alley Oop Classics Book of Hamlin's strips!

Today's Oop was all about Doc Wonmug and the little green alien wandering aimlessly in the desert and a very lame gag of pyramids being pointy at the top sometimes . Oh haw haw. There isn't anything else to say about today's Alley Oop installment, so, to fill this post with something worthwhile, here's a video about Alley Oop Classics Book that I found on YouTube. It's an Alley Oop Time Travelling Classics by V.T.Hamlin! A collection of Hamlin's time travelling adventures starting from 1939. : Yeah, this book is on my wish-list now! And as a bonus, The Alley Oop song by The Hollywood Argles from 1960. And here's a video of the same, Hollywood Argyles Alley Oop song on the Saturday Night Beech-Nut Show. June 18, 1960 :
