Today's knee-slapper centers around Lady Worthless giving Doc Wonmug a 10% off coupon from a butler referral service in appreciation of saving his life. I know that Joey has used this exact same joke before but darned if I am going to go track it down. To make the joke even funnier, though, the name of the agency is "Homme Aside". Get it, homicide - just as hilarious as it is subtle. But wait, there's more! This is the agency that she used to hire Clifford, the guy that tried to kill her despite the agency's assurance that their services are "non-lethal". I'm guessing that  Wonmug is thinking that he needs to use the time-cube to go back and let Clifford do his thing. Maybe the best thing for Joey would be to use this agency to get herself a butler. Heck, I'll throw in a few bucks for her if she's a little short right now.  Today's merry episode: https://www.gocomics.com/alley-oop/2021/04/09

I was busy most of the day yesterday and wasn't able to comment on the strip. I guess the strip wasn't interesting enough for anyone else to comment on so I will turn in a belated review. We had all hoped this incredibly boring story was over but Joey has managed to drag it on even though it has long finished. Might as well squeeze a couple of more jokes in to finish the week before embarking on another story about a time-travelling caveman. Today we find out that Lady Worthless bought a time-machine from a farmer, AKA Fake Einstein. That's because every genius inventor can now make a time-machine just like they were Doc Womnug. So what did the old biddy use it for? To steal Wonmug's wallet. Comic gold, that. But does that make any sense? To steal someone's wallet, you have to reach into their pocket to take it. How does having a time-machine make it any easier unless time-travel also makes you invisible? Your guess is as good as mine. I'm just one of those no ...

Oh, great. We get one more day of this boring saga. Today Lady W. revels that she invited her genius guests so that she could steal their inventions. No idea how she knew they would bring their inventions or how she would do it. Something about using the Faraday, excuse me, Faraweek cage to help her steal it because she isn't as fast as she used to be. Say what? Does any of that make any sense? I guess Joey thinks if you throw enough gobbledygook against the wall, some of it might just stick. Either that or her most loyal fans are just too dumb to notice the lack of logic in her writing. As usual, she certainly doesn't even try to make one day consistent with another day. Back on February 26, Joey had Lady Snobington tell them that she hadn't invited them. But today she says that she did. Geeze, Joey, it's not that hard to keep the story line straight is it? Today's woeful strip: https://www.gocomics.com/alley-oop/2021/04/07

It looks like we are finally at the end of yet another story which really didn't make any sense at all. Today's strip reminds us that the Terrific Trio was invited to help find a key to a safe where Lady Worthington keeps her vast wealth. I guess that's because that's what all wealthy people do, keep a big chunk of their wealth in their safe. You know, because, well, just because. No explanation of why her safe is opened with a key; heck, we have a small safe and it is a combination safe as I would expect about 99.9% of safes in the world are. And, of course. we never find out why the very smart people invited to her house even showed up because none received an explanation of why they were invited. Of course, the guests weren't really all that smart, inventing some of the most useless gadgets ever. They were never there other than to sit of the usual litany of unfunny jokes. What is the point of making this obnoxious tub of lard a "lady"? Did it make her...
