On today's Alley Oop - 9 April 2021

By on

Today's knee-slapper centers around Lady Worthless giving Doc Wonmug a 10% off coupon from a butler referral service in appreciation of saving his life. I know that Joey has used this exact same joke before but darned if I am going to go track it down. To make the joke even funnier, though, the name of the agency is "Homme Aside". Get it, homicide - just as hilarious as it is subtle. But wait, there's more! This is the agency that she used to hire Clifford, the guy that tried to kill her despite the agency's assurance that their services are "non-lethal". I'm guessing that  Wonmug is thinking that he needs to use the time-cube to go back and let Clifford do his thing. Maybe the best thing for Joey would be to use this agency to get herself a butler. Heck, I'll throw in a few bucks for her if she's a little short right now.

Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 23 “Alley Oop Space Rebel” - "DEAD ASSASSINS" Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 23 “Alley Oop Space Rebel” (923) 4/3/2020 Friday "DEAD ASSASSINS" Parsecs away the super aggregate Lumbagan known as Am al-gum is worried. He notices there has been a major change in the current parameters of what is. When he combined they became one, and developed whole new levels of abilities and senses. Among them is the probability wave connected to the quantum underpinning of all that is. He has felt it and knows it is a major happening and yet with his boosted intelligence he has yet to figure it all out. But he does know a few things. Just as when the Haterakans suddenly attacked the mighty Terran Empire, whatever this is has that same level of possible change to most everything. This and other such abilities are useful, but only once he masters them. If he misreads he could possibly die. Lumbagans are tough customers and can simply re...

The a-MOO-sing world of Alley Oop

Alley Oop is a syndicated comic strip created December 5, 1932, by American cartoonist V. T. Hamlin, who wrote and drew the strip through four decades for Newspaper Enterprise Association. Hamlin introduced a cast of characters, and his story lines entertained with a combination of adventure, fantasy, and humor. On April 9, 1939, Alley Oop was accidentally time-transported from the prehistoric Moo to the 20th century, when Dr. Wonmug was testing his time machine. Until then, the comic featured Alley Oop's adventures in the prehistoric Moo. That's almost where Alley's time travelling adventures began. After an adventure in the contemporary modern age (the 1930's when the strip was being published in the U.S.A.), Alley soon began his time travelling adventures by volunteering to help the good Dr. Wonmug with his further research with his time machine. Above cover of a comic depicts Alley Oop's adventures in ancient Egyp, with queen Cleopatra.
