 Well, the exterminators haven't shown up, but this was the next best thing. Luckily for Oaf, this is just a comic because in real life, that dog would have chomped him in half and ate him, instead of leaving him to look he just got scratched up a cat that was the same scale of size of mini-Oaf. From the perspective the dog could have actually almost swallowed him whole.
