On today's Alley Oaf - 1 December 2020

 OK, so we're back at the Time Lab and ready to hear what happened. Foola asks her what had happened and Ava said she had this great opportunity to make money, then realizes that Foola is talking about the whole Demon deal, so there's the "gag" of the day. Perhaps tomorrow or some time in the future we will possibly get the explanation of that whole time travel trip. It likely won't make any sense so is likely to be anticlimactic.

As far as Ava's appearance goes, my guess is that Joey came across that classic book "Black Like Me" and is trying to work that into the story somehow. I guess we'll see. (I read that book back in the early 1960's and it is a real eye opener) It's hard to explain why Ava looks as she does now.
