More waste of time On today's Alley Oop - 14 April 2020
So now we know what this is all about. Some bizarre buffoony gags on some movie and book names. What else but that? Nothing else makes any sense in this silly sitcomic.
After a day in the sun, they're now back again inside the dark and gloomy palace. The princess thanks Ooola for helping her with the "parent trap" because that stupid cage trap would work only if a lookalike doppelgänger had executed it. What a big bulk of bombastic 🐂💩 bollocks.
And then comes a Prince and the Pauper reference. Gee how cool and intelligent to insert such smart references. You may think so, but here's why it doesn't work and falls flat on its face :
-
Firstly, note all the points I made in my yesterday's review on this.
Now that we're refreshed with the gaping nonsense in this nonsensical sitcomic,
- She just trapped her parents in a lousy cage which isn't locked to the ground and is open from beneath. Why haven't they just lifted and shoved it away by now?
- Like I mentioned yesterday, where are the royal guards? Why aren't they summoned yet and why haven't they freed the king and queen and caught this impudent princess and the impostor yet?
So many questions, but no answers. All this is just a complete waste of time just to make a couple of "cool" references to a movie and to a book, or to a movie based on that book. Well, who cares? For there's no meaning at all to this never-ending nincompoopy nonsense, and there isn't even a real story here in the first place, let alone an adventure.
And all this while, for over two weeks, there's no sign of Alley Oop. Maybe he's busy eating pyramid stones or petting the giant cats. Because we can't have a real man be a hero in his own comic these days, can we? And speaking of 🐂💩, Alley Oop is no longer a mighty bull, for he's now nothing more than an oafy ox.
