Well, this sad old man says that this is a typical crock of Joey's wannabe authorship. If only she had a clue.....😒
So now both Oaf and Doc have become clueless idiots while Ooola remains the "brains" of the outfit. Such a crying shame how this strip has deteriorated into just juvenile drivel. Joey, if you can't figure out how to write some decent kind of story, stick to oozing out half-wit(ty) silliness on Twitter. That's your best shot as you have zero clue on how to write a continuing adventure story. You're "kinda" good at writing snark replies on Twitter. If only your Oop tales were as good. Maybe if you spent more time writing Oop and less time spewing nonsense on Twitter your writing would improve.
You had to be one of those children that were told you were something special growing up. It's rough becoming a grownup apparently. Your best shot is sticking to one panel silliness, you're quite good at that (and that's being generous).
So now you may want to tone down the silliness and witless banter you "write" and come up with some good, continuing stories. Perhaps even read a few of the good older strips to get a clue. Or even ask Mr. Lemon for some tips.
In the meantime since the comments were banned on GoComics, they have moved to here. You're free to read them here, if you dare.
And I'm sure you will come up with some childish retort to this on Twitter. We older fans will be checking. Please don't let us down.
Alley Oop was one of the best strips for over 60 years. It's unfortunate you have no clue on how to continue that tradition by writing zany and silly nonsense because you selfishly "just want to have a little fun with the strip". Stick to the Nib, that's more your speed and within your limited storytelling abilities to handle.
