On today's Alley Oop - 29 April 2020

Another bunch of non sequiturs, as usual. So Oop knows all about Fenway Park? How? And why? Maybe for the concession stands but when would he have learned about those?


The eating obsession continues with Oop also knowing, for some reason, what the sound of an ice cream truck is, and Doc's favourite also. Hard to say what he is going to pay for the ice cream with, maybe just strong arm the poor ice cream truck driver? Or if the driver is a fan of the NuOop and recognizes the dimwit, he may just comp the ice cream?


For better or worse, we are stuck with this NuOop until Joey gets tired of writing it. John Glynn certainly chose her personally so he's not likely to pull the plug on it, although perhaps that would be the best thing for this moribund version of the strip.


(Something really screwy with the type today. For some reason, the middle paragraph insists on being different from the first and last, no matter what changes I make. Oh well, at least it's readable so that's something)
